choppy engine sound

Post by mat10193 »

Hello,

I get this issue with the p51 and the spitfire, my engine sounds will not sound smooth and instead sound choppy and then will all of the sudden smooth out and get choppy again. If you guys have any imput on why it would do this, that would be great.

Is this only a sound related issue or do you get some vibration or shaking effects to? Does this happen at idle or in flight?

OP do you notice a volume increase and decrease when moving thru the boost range also?
Like when I change prop feather, just the rpms go up and down not the volume, but just change boost and leave prop alone and the volume of motor waxes and wanes.
Its a spoiler for me.

Same question as for the OP. Do you have the Accusim version of the Spitfire? If so are you all up to date?

Yes the 5-9-16 accu-sim update helped a lot of things, but not this issue for me.

Only thing I did NOT do was make exception for FSX in Microsoft Security Essentials b4 primary
accu-sim install. (did not know until I read manual AFTER install)

Maybe its supposed to be this way, but it sounds like a fly by instead of VC.
No pitch change, just volume imbalance and choppy transitions between the boost ranges.

Thanks
