Hello Spitfire experts,
Flying the MkIIb with only very little hydraulic fluid I experienced gear failure. I was unable to extract the landing gear with the normal handle.
ONly felt a little buffeting, so the gear was a little out. Using the emergency CO2 didn't help either, will it only work with enough hydr. fluid left in the event of hydr. pump failure? (I think I had this once before)
Made a belly landing, put the plane on jacks and fiddled around and used the shortcut for hydraulic pump lever which I mapped for MkIa. With the gear handle in the down position, there was the hand pump sound and the gear extended like in the MkIa. Is this a bug with the MkIIb model?
Thanks
Jens
MkIIb can use hydr. handpump? Bug? CO2 emergency useless?

Jens,
Cheers, I'll test this. The CO2 should work without hydraulic pressure if I recall, will look at the engineering drawings again. Just to confirm, you did have the main handle in the DOWN position when you hit the emergency?
Obviously the hand pump code shouldn't work on the II.

Yes, the handle was in the down position before engaging the emergency bottle.
Can't recheck at the moment, because my PC has problems and I'm going to rebuild it. Hope to have it back running by the end of next week.
I think I kept the dat file to reproduce it if neccessary.
Thanks for looking into it.
