saitek panels on slave pc help please

Post by sleightflight »

Hi everyone,
I had all my saitek panels doing everything I wanted whilst plugged into my main fsx pc.
I decided to move running them onto my second pc to see if it helped with performance , most things seem to work, although I haven't tested everything yet.
My problem is the gear lever on the switch panel, it works on most aircraft fine but with the spitfire, which is what I fly the most, I haven't tried the comanche with it yet, it makes the gear activating noise but the undercarriage doesn't go up.
I have Spad installed and a registered version of fsuipc and wide installed.
I had to use Linda before to get it to work but I don't think it will work across the two pc's, does anyone know of a solution to get it to function correctly please. I will if all else fails plug that panel back into my FSX pc.
Thanks for any help.
Here is my setup so far.

Hello,

you might have to use some trickey in FSUIPC or LINDA, are you using the included A2A input configurator at all for correct mapping of some of the custom controls?

Remember the MkI requires a pumping action to get the gear up so a standard auto gear switch wont work the same.

thanks,

Hi Lewis, I didn't know about the A2A configuration tool, I will check it out, thanks.

Hi Lewis,
I usually fly the mk2, pressing the G button on the keyboard sends the undercarriage straight up no problem. I don't seem to be able to make a setting in fsuipc as it doesn't seem to recognise the gear lever movement on the saitek switch panel to be able to make a fsuipc setting.
Odd thing is the gear goes up fine on every other aircraft I have tried so far.

I'm no expert but I believe you will want to be using SPAD for the correct mapping in conjunction with FSUIPC?

Mmm, I can't get the gear switch to work with the panel plugged into my slave pc, Spad sees the movement, fsuipc doesn't make it do what it's supposed to in fsx, it activates the gear on all non A2A aircraft however so it must be the way acu sim works that's affecting it.
I will have to run that panel on the main FSX pc and map it through LINDA like I did before to get it to work.
I don't think running the panels on the main fsx pc is as big a hit on processing power as I first thought, and since I updated the slave pc to win 10 pro the multi panel has to be unplugged from the USB port and plugged back in to get all the led digits to light up.
I think I may be better off plugging all three of my panels back into the main fsx pc where they all work without fault and be done with it.
Thanks anyway.

If you check out the Cockpit builders thread from the FAQ there is a full LVar list so you can use that to help map the custom Accu-sim commands in FSUIPC
