First, hats off for a fantastic recreation. I do have one problem though I hope you can help me with.

It seems that at random points whenever I use the 303 marked Spitfire in a 3rd person view(spot, tower etc) it'll crash. uninstalled, reinstalled no luck.

I then tried it with another Spitfire, the E.S. one and had a grand time in the air and had no crashing.

Any suggestions?

Well the only thing that comes to mind is possibly a texture issue with the
MkIIb vs the MkIa and MkIIa.

I seem to recall, way back during testing, that on my XpPro install I had to reduce
the texture sizes to prevent problems when trying to fly one of the Spits. I THINK
it was the MkIIb. Once I reduced the texture size all was well.

Not knowing what OS and system specs you have, the texture issue is something
you should explore.

There may be a link here in the forum for a set of reduced size textures. Dig around
a bit to see if you can find them. Backup your original textures and then see if the
reduced size versions cure your ills. Also, check the FAQ's in this forum.

I read about switching textures, and will be trying that tonight.
Specwise my system is pretty old, a Duo Core 2, 1tb Nvida and 4gb ram and a Win7 install.

It handles everything else pretty well, and I focus the quality of graphics on the aircraft instead of scenery, etc.

I'll give the texture swap a try and see what happens.
