Error message on installation- 'Refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in Windows Folder to determine the problem.'
Latest DirectX is installed (dx9c). Tried re-installing the Spitfire. (Haven't yet re-installed the facilities pack so as not to complicate the issue.) Same Error message, same results.
My system is an Intel Core i5 at 2.67GHz and 4G RAM, running 32 bit Windows 7.
Click 'OK' on the Error Box and the installation appears to procede successfully.
Selected the Mk2a (with 3 blade variable pitch propeller). It loads and flys but has a few problems.
(1) No control of propeller speed although

the control lever moves in the cockpit.
(2)No sound effects on undercarriage extension/retraction.
(3)Elevator trim dosen't work from external slider controller. It works OK from the mouse or the keyboard. Tried selecting it on the 'Input Configurator Panel'. Got an error message- 'Selection could not be saved- verify thet path to FSX is correct and that the program is properly installed'.
(4) Periodically, a 'fatal error' occurs with this aircraft selected, forcing an FSX restart.
(5) Aircraft occasionally won't respond to the Head Tracking System. This requires an FSX restart to correct.
