I've never had trouble getting the spitfire to start until the 1.4 update.

The engine will sometimes catch, and one or two cylinders will fire, but never enough to start. Engine has 0.0 hours on it.

Strangely, the auto-start will sometimes work(about 30% of the time).

Do you follow the checklist ?

Also, prime some more than what you usually would give her, if it won't catch, prime no less, or even more, than in a previous attempt.

Have you aquired accusim package before installing the patch?

Also when it catches slowly open the throttle past 1/4...maybe to 1 inch, but not too much because you will flood it. I find that helps the engine get rid of the excess fuel without flooding it.

Set throttle to 1/4 - 1/3 open , prime it and crank it. Once it catches -- prime again -- a second or two. Always fires up that way for me.Haven't flown the Spitfire for a while..let's see..ever since the P 51-D arrived.
