Nicely done Eugene!!
It looks like you managed to even save the airscrew.
It is always frustrating when the Emergency Bottle doesn't work. For future reference though, you would usually have been much better off to leave he gear up and belly land the Spitfire. The odds of something going catastrophically wrong with a single wheel landing are high. Gear up and on the grass is the better option 99% of the time.
Anyhow, well done and hey, it worked, proving you did the right thing his time.

Come on Daryl, the fun of landing on a single wheel is enormous.
Cheers

Re: Achtung! Lame over Cle Elum...
I thought about it, but a big airscrew even during take-off makes me not get carried away. Therefore, landing in one gear. Most likely, I do not yet know the correct technique of landing "gears up" so as not to break the airscrew.Killratio wrote:Nicely done Eugene!!
