Scramble to intercept AI traffic?

Hi

I'm looking for a way to use my A2A Spitfire in anger, and one thing I thought I'd like to do is fly combat air patrols around the English Channel and intercept any AI GA-traffic that happen to get within chasing distance.

Is this feasible (maybe by creating FSX missions although some sort of randomness would be preferred) or will the AI traffic always be carefully vectored by FSX-ATC away from my seemingly-hostile approaches on these day-trippers?

Thanks
Simon

I do it sometimes in the Mustang.

I use AI Flight Planner to make my own vintage AI traffic.

Hello Simon,

you can use a tool like the one mentioned by bladerunner900 to create the sort of situation you would like. You can also go and create a mission based system also, either way I'm afraid theirs a bit of work involved.

thanks,
Lewis

Thanks all. I may well give that tool a go (the manual is over 80 pages though so maybe I'll wait until I have a free fortnight!)

But will attempting to fly close to AI aircraft cause them to alter their course (whether by FSX-ATC commands or some other logic)? For now I might just turn up GA traffic to 100% and go to the airspace round a busy airport and see what happens.

AiTrackerX by Lorby-SI does the job nicely. It's not free but Lorby-SI programs are excellent and DRM free (which is a primary reason for my purchase).
