Pretty bleak this time of year

Post by bladerunner900 »

Mid Wales can be pretty bleak at this time. Pretty barren in parts. I can see why the SAS like to train here, or used to.

Edit: Ha! Reminds me of a story a friend of mine related. He was out on the Beacons with his family, when his 12 year old daughter shouted "Dad! There's a man lying in the ditch". On investigating, the man in the ditch started shouting obscenities, to go away, quickly. Of course, he left pretty quick, hoping he hadn't blown his hiding spot. Thinking about it, if a 12 year old can spot him. Well, nuff said.
