Thx Tex Luv Spit

Post by Kilstorm »

OMG! If you havent tried the Spitfire after the 3/27/16 core update you are in for an amazing experience! First off, the plane was cold so when it started, I thought my teeth were going to rattle of my head with the new visuals. As she warmed up, the vibrations smoothed out. The whole time, I'm thinking how awesome this is going to look in Oculus Rift in a few days when I get my gear.

I did a circuit and landed. The normal cooling down sounds started popping and tinging. Shut down the sim and then restarted it. Not only were the temps still the same minus a bit of cooling but the engine cool down noises were still there as that Merlin was still cooling down.

All these new core features coming from the Texan. So a huge thanks for the Texan as both an aircraft but also for the improvements it has created for the other warbirds. Cant wait to check out my P51 now.

So just to make sure. I have the Spitfire and the P-51 civilian installed before I installed the T-6. Do I need to run the updater for the new features in my "old" warbirds or am I all set?

Thanks.

Yes. The changes came as a surprise to me too. A pleasant one I might add. :D
