If anyone across the pond has an opportunity to see this Spitfire before it's auctioned, I'd like to see photos of the particulars (outside and cockpit), if they allow it, ie., engine.

Here's a site with some great pictures of a Spitfire MkVb's cockpit. It's been a great help to me with a 1/24 scale Spitfire Vb model that I'm building now.
