Pinking cooling engine noise

Post by AshtonPete »

I had to laugh at the noise of the cooling Merlin... I simulated the same noise just now with a teaspoon on the fins of my cold vector heater.
I really must pay a visit to a friend who runs up his Merlin on a trolley at shows etc. I'll do my best to get some original cooling noise effects. Once I am happy I'll post the file for all to hear. Maybe Accusim would like it for an upcoming Spitfire update to be looped. :)

This isn't cooling, Its a 27 ltr Meteor in Cromwell tank. July 2013 (Its basically a Merlin anyway) I was walking behind with my microphone inches away. If this acoustic is any good to anyone feel free to use it, its all my pleasure.

Turn up your speakers LOUD awesome!!!
