Help on VC please!

I'm not sure if I can explain this properly but here goes.
When I open the spitfire I would like the Vc to be 'lower' - ie so that I can see the gauges that are lower down. Then when I reset the 'eyepoint' it would return to this view. Could anyone tell me if this is possible and if so how to go about it?
Thanks Del

Use your hat switch or to go up/down forward/backwards use CTRL enter CTRL backspace and SHIFT ENTER SHIFT BACKSPACE.

Hello,

Have a Google for changing default camera position in FSX. It is possible to change but can take some fiddling if not using a third party camera add on.

Thanks,
Lewis

Thanks both of you for your swift replies. I really wanted a permanent change in the default vc and will start googling!

Hey del,

This thread I come across with a quick google I think covers the manual editing side of things, from moving within sim to changing cfg's for different starting eye points as you have mentioned.

Del, as well as changing eye point in the aircraft.cfg file, you can also change the default view direction to look down towards the panel and get a better view of the instruments. See the following topic here for some discussion on ways of doing this: Changing default virtual cockpit view.

Cheers,
Nick

Thanks Lewis and Nick. It's a more complicated topic than I expected but I'm going to study and get the hang of ii!

Hey Del, it's actually not mega complicated so much as there are multiple options to achieve similar results.

Whatever you do though remember to backup the original files.

Thanks,
Lewis
