Nice work Jankees!

Sadly, looks like this one's 'on the back burner' indefinitely... :( Tsk! Still, one has to pay a price for the beautiful Cherokee and so I suppose.

All the best,

A great pity. I for one would pay for any and all Accusim Spitfires A2A care to release. And a Hurricane or 4. Also, a Lancaster would be appreciated.

Incidentally, I bought a copy of Malta Spitfire V's by Brian Cauchi, as mentioned by JanKees. Found it at www.bookdepository.com if anyone else is interested.

Cheers,
Mike

and I looked at that site at some of mr Cauchi's models. I of course did quite a few model planes too in the past (didn't we all?), but this is incredible! Some of them look so real...

Mr Cauchi's models certainly are inspiring. I'm presently working on a 24th scale Hurricane and I'm trying to scratch build some of the rear fuselage inner structure, but my efforts pale in comparison to his. But I keep trying.... One of the kits I have stashed for future build is the P-40B. Between one that Mr Cauchi did, and the A2A example, I have high hopes that it will turn out OK.

Mike

these should have the tropical filter, but alas.
What do you think?
Funny how a Spitfire looks good in all different outfits..

Thanks JanKees. I'm downloading these as I write. You can never have enough Spitfires!! :D :D

My copy of Brian Cauchi's book arrived last Friday and it looks like a very good read. I have a 1/24 scale Spitfire in my modelling stash, so I think I might make this my next project, after I finish the Hurricane. From what I can see looking through the above mentioned book, you've chosen a good variety of paint schemes to highlight how different Malta's Spitfires were from the commonly accepted camouflage schemes. Nice work.

Cheers,
Mike
