My first flight ruined the engine and various other parts of the aircraft. I was able to "clear" one red highlit problem in each of the hanger and engine panels but now none of the links, including the "Complete overhaul" do anything.
I have Googled and searched these forums but can't find a guide to using the panels (the guide to AccuSim and the Spitfire are great but they don't help with this), or anyone else with the same problem.
Help!

First, do you have just the Spitfire aircraft or its Accu-Sim pack too?
Check the FAQ here if you haven't already, and make sure you are on at least Service Pack 2 or have the Microsoft Acceleration expansion pack:

Re: Maintenance Hangar links don't work
Hello,
I'm not sure I follow. If you have already clicked the red links then you are all fixed up. The overhaul button will perform an overhaul and everything will be reset to 0. However if you click this once and then click it again, indeed very little will happen.
The manual for your simulation is located under your start menu >> all programs >> A2A Simulations. And if a win8 user on the main start screen under show all apps.
thanks,
Lewis - A2A
