I also tried to change the ui_manufacturer line in config but this didn't solve the problem with the lost maintenance hangar history and aircraft hours.

Are the v1.1 .dat-files (like SpitfireIaLog.dat) no more compatible? :(

Scott - A2A wrote:Skycat,

All Core Accu-Sim airplanes (Currently the Spitfire and P-40) will be updated by way of a single Accu-Sim Core Update. The Core Update detects what core Accu-Sim aircraft you have installed and updates them.

So, regardless of what aircraft you install first, you always want to run the Core Update LAST.

So the installation order is always:

- Aircraft
- Accu-Sim Pack
- Core Update

Scott.

Mr. Scott, i have a question

If i would have an accusim plane installed, already patched with core update, and then i would aquire another one, that this core update includes, would i need to simply run the core update once more ?

Each core update has a version. So far we have had two: v.1.1 and v.1.2.

When in doubt, just download and install the latest core update. It won't hurt anything and will just insure you have the latest files.

I only need the v1.2 right ?
So if I for example reinstall the spitfire, I only need the v1.2 ?

And thank you very much for a new update, I'm going to test it right now.

Agreed - excellent update! Flying the MkII last night and talk about immersed... Thank you A2A, great work!

Anyhow, can I throw a question at you guys? In a multiplayer session, I noticed when I was on the ground my buddies landing gear was visible when he was in the air, even though his gear was actually retracted. Can this be fixed? It's not a show stopper, just one of those niggly details...

Thanks, Dave.

So I haven't had a chance to check out the 1.2 Spit yet, do these new gear physics mean we have to lower the manual gear by first pumping them in the up position to get them off the up locks like they did in real life? Basically my question is what do these new gear locks do from the pilot's perspective?

I also have a question regarding the landing gear. I played around a bit with the Spit MkI on jacks and I noticed that every time I cycle the gear direction selector from Raise to Lower and back again the landing gear would drop a bit more without me even touching the wobble pump. It's almost as if the gear lever is a secondary, much less effective pump. Is it supposed to be that way?

That is the "switching" of the valve direction which lowers pressure slightly. The Spitfire uses the SAME valves for up and down pumping, the direction of flow of the fluid is just reversed...one of the principal causes of different numbers of strokes for up and down cycles.

sorry for my question, but iam getting a little bit confused to the updates lately....

I have all Accusim planes available by you- the core update (1,2) is the latest update to all "core" planes (the spit, the p40 and in future the p51, right?)-- the latest accusim update for the b-17 (v1.21) has nothing to do with the core update(s)- is this right? so if i have ever to install all planes new, the order of installation is only important when it comes to the "core" planes..?
