I see there is a knob below an oxygen altitude valve gauge for setting. How do I set this gauge? Do I put it to the desired cruise cabin altitude?

Yes, you should set it to your current cruise altitude although the exact setting isn't critical. If you are
]within 2-3K feet you'll be fine.

Just remember to set it!

I forgot to do that the other day when I was concentrating on following some AI B-17G's I had in the air and
wondered why I blacked out after I had opened the main OXY valve and put on the mask. :)
