It might be worth double checking that the Spitfire has actually updated on your system. Easiest way to tell is look at the Primer... if that is the proper brass colour, not a more bronze colour, then the blue canopy should be gone. If bronze, the updater hasn't applied to the Spit.
Here's my primer - looks brass to me, so it looks like I must have the latest build <?>:

I see similar looking canopies in screenshots from other A2A Spitfire users. Here a few of my tests:

Worst case scenario!!!

Looking *down* the canopy looks OK:

NOTE: This is P3Dv3 (which may have a slightly different lighting model to FSX). I don't use HDR (and "bloom" doesn't exist in P3D). I also don't have any other "fancy" lighting settings:

Lens flare: Off
Dynamic Reflections: Ultra
Hardware Tesselation: On
Texture Filtering: Anisotropic 16x
FXAA: Off
MSAA: 8 samples

I tried with HDR enabled. Same problem.

Yep, that's it Adam.

Ok, I don't get 'out' much, so not entirely sure but I don't recall my canopies looking like that. BUT, I'm using P3D 2.5...

Thanks, Steve! FSX has a separate setting for bloom. As I said, I don't use HDR in P3D - so I can't use bloom independently. Anyway - it makes no difference to the canopy, LOL!
