Spitfire paint question

Post by JoeS475 »

I preface this by saying I REALLY love the default aircraft and repaints so far, and this is not a complaint, just a question... That said; is it just me, or is the red color used on the roundels on the upper surface of the wings way too bright? All the other roundels have a more subdued, realistic red, but the main wings almost seem amost gaudy. Even compared to the red patches over the gun ports, there is a noticable difference.

Does anyone else notice this, or am I just nuts?

Hrrm, they are quite bright, but the red markings were quite colorful.

The red on the top wing roundels is the same as the others. It is quite noticable on the real aircraft, it was for this reason that the Pacific and CBI RAF roundels had the red removed. It looked too much like the Japanese 'meatballs'.
