suggestion for long taxi distances...towing
Re: suggestion for long taxi distances...towing
As the others have said, the Piper Cub has a system whereby you can pull it around the airfield, so maybe A2A could implement a tractor or even a "ack" or two Wouldn't be too hard!

any chance that turning off the damage button in accu-sim ( I think the shift 3 menu where you can turn on the lights, I forget the name of the menu item.)might be a way around long taxis if you are flying on say vatsim?

Let's imagine when you "tossing" your plane thru a big airstrip taxiways with 4 cursor button...
if you want to conserv your engine, you have to wait at least the oil temp go as far as 40C degree... this matter you must stop the engine at least one time (to cool the water/glycol tank down)
the only thing was i saw similar to this tractor thing was the Ariane 737/X tow car feature... it was both slow and nearly not for push the plane everywhere.... just for pushback
i think it's too hard to doing it....
and finaly please realise that the spitfire MKI/II (means early versions) was more like a racing propider.. built for 12-14 fast lap and iminent full throttle (because of the pushup water cooling), then pull back the garage to change the bearings and the pistons because of the alcohol usage...
the spit is more like this, than a GA plane like C172..
if you want to use it other way -> turn off accusim for that time
Cheers;)
