I'm also thinking about making the move to P3D in the near future, something I was never likely to do until the Spitfire came out in P3DV4 format. There's only so many times you can take FSX crashing, hanging and all the other tricks that are the computer equivalent of passing wind.

Nice screen shots, Nick!! :D

Cheers,
Mike

Just my humble opinion. GO FOR IT!!

Here is my view on the expense. I spend about 1/3 of my life sleeping, so that time is lost. I'm retired, so I can't say I spend 40 hours per week at work, but I do spend several hours per week mowing my moss and dandelions, wrenching and riding on my motorcycles, and a small amount of time on a consulting gig. A pretty big chunk of whatever time is left is spent thinking about, planning, and flying in my sim. There's no way I can afford a real airplane, not even a Cessna 172. Probably can't pass the physical, and think I'd have a hard time staying out of trouble with all the FARs, airspace requirements, and such. Riding motorcycles and flying my A2A Comanche and T-6 (and MJ C-47) is how I take care of my frustrated fighter pilot itch. My Jetline computer, P3Dv4, A2A aircraft, ORBX, and Active Sky, this forum, and various YouTube contributors really heighten the experience.

No amount of money can buy you back a single second. Therefore, we should not be miserly. No time to waste. We should all be riding around on fast motorcycles, going over Hwy 20 with our fangs out, and we should be flying with the latest stuff for maximum immersion, a.k.a. "as real as it gets."

I love this airplane. I love v4! All I need now is the P-51 to be complete again.

PAYA cross-country to the PANC area.

Flight from Arlington to Felps, Washington. Cruise at Angels 25. I like the Mk IIa because it is the fastest. What a pussycat. Great airplane.
