I would love the Speed Spitfire

Re: Paintkit
A Spitfire arrived around the end of the hangar at near enough 10ft slaloming though the dispersal pylons. He then landed, got out in a waist coat and suit trousers, unfold a suit jacket from the luggage hold and put it on. He was Sqn Ldr Ray Hanna.

Re: Paintkit
Yeah,
I just love the paint scheme though, but they did convert it back to a PR.1 standard, even replacing the eliptical wings, two-speed prop, and cannopy the only difference to the paint scheme was they put a smaller colour flash on the tail, standard RAF roundels on the fuselage, and under the wings (not on the top).
So, I think it would be do-able but it would have to be the PR version as they replaced the engine also.

Re: Paintkit
Since i am no good with paintkits i was wondering if anyone could repaint me a Spitfire please? If its too much trouble then its no problem lol.
Its the markings of 501 Squadron (County of Gloucester) but would much rather have SD-J X4381 which was at No.53 OTU for a very short period of time, 11/5/1941 to 7/7/1941. My Father was in 501 and would like to surprise him with a Spitfire Mk.I that was only used for a couple of weeks in the Squadron before going on to the Mk.II Spitfire. Underneath the roundels were at the tips of the wing.

Horizontally or Vertically - never heard of this before - Don't recall having to do this on the B17 either...Lewis - A2A wrote:When repainting in FSX remember to flip the textures

Re: Paintkit
here's a few more from my side:
update on P7509 MN-M of 350 (Belgian) Squadron:
as requested: X4381 SD-J of 501st Squadron:
and I saw a request for Douglas Bader's aircraft, P7966 D-B:
P7966 still needs some attention, but it's coming, I hope to upload them soon.

Re: Paintkit
Make sure you save it in DXT5 (.DDS) format. Also don't resize themain texture.Blackbird71 wrote:Hi,

Re: Paintkit
Possibly not the best place to put this, but it is related. I don't suppose anyone here has a clear (or even clear-ish!) picture of the logo that Sgt. Wilfred Duncan Smith had on the side of his Spitfire at 611 Squadron, X4253 FY-N, do they?
His son's politics may make my blood boil, but W. G. G. Duncan Smith is another fighter pilot worth remembering and while he was with them, 611Sqn were based at RAF Digby, so it's a paint I'd like to see done for more than one reason.
There's a not-particularly clear representation in an advert for a print of the aircraft here: http://www.markstyling.com/spitfiresmkl_ll_11.htm - it's the last aircraft on the page.
Any advice and help appreciated.
Cheers,
Ian P.
