Re: Spitfire I PR Conversion ... Sim Cockpit ... Almost ther
Thanks Ed,
Ross is a master! The best thing is that he has saved me a heap of tooling and skills that i would only have ever used the once!
more of his work..now complete and on its way to me.

WOW! That seat looks great, uncomfortable, but great!!
How those pilots sat in those seats on parachutes for hours I don't know.

Re: Spitfire I PR Conversion ... Sim Cockpit ... Almost ther
Thanks Guys,
Yes, Ed, the seating arrangements are VERY uncomfortable. Given that I am twice the age or more of almost all of those pilots,
I allow myself the luxury of replacing the K Type Dinghy with a pillow. That takes a little pressure off the spine but it is still very
rigid because the parachute sits between you and the K-type anyhow.
The Spitfire is a very small place. Reading a map with the parachute and Sutton harness on is a task all in itself..and pity help you
if you drop anything! The Mustang cockpit is like a home theatre by comparison.
I've started to build Ross's fuelcock unit as well as my own. We've agreed to each make some of the bits twice to streamline production.
I'm building the fuse racks, fuelcocks, Throttle Z sections and map boxes at the moment.
More soon!
Darryl
