Hi Tom,

Great textures, superb details. Only problem is P8088 is actually a Mk.IIa, not a Mk.IIb. I found this history of the aircraft online. http://www.spitfires.talktalk.net/A7_Sp ... _Sale.html. Apparently it still exists and is a restoration project.

Changing the sim and model in the aircraft.cfg file to IIa is not a problem, but the texture will need red muzzle patches on the inboard machine gun ports of course. The other slight issue is that the RAF fin flash for this period of Spitfire should have equal sized red/white/blue bands. The thin white band came in later, around Autumn 1941, along with the lower visibility grey/green camouflage.

The same also applies to the Douglas Bader texture, only this aircraft was actually a Mk.Va. However the Mk.IIa model is as close as there is right now. Good to have this famous Spitfire, the one he was brought down in, represented in some form.

The same website also has a side view of a Mk.IIa flown by Douglas Bader earlier in 1941. Not greatly different, apart from the black spinner (and serial number of course). I'm fairly sure the same nose art was applied.

Sorry to nitpick, it really is only minor detail stuff. Thanks for creating and sharing the textures.

Kevin

Well! That doesn't seem like a great response to Kevin's feedback that your two repaints are inaccurate! Certainly as regards the fin flashes and gun patches and the fact that you've released a Mk V on a Mk II model!

I regularly update the skins - I´ll see what can be done to improve them, hopefully A2A will release the MkV soon so, until then ... :D
