What is the exact problem, are you unable to configure the joystick for trim settings?

The A2A Spitfire has elevator trim, and also rudder trim, when I had a twist stick like yours it worked fine, did you check within the FSX settings to see if it is bound properly?

Using FSX's own settings > controls.

There are a few people within this community that use the same joystick as yourself, I understand that they've successfully configured them to use the trim controls, so do not despair sir, there will be a solution!

John.

Hi Chopin,
I think I understand what you're getting at, not all controls are Saitek though, I also use other hardware and the shortcuts come in useful for things like the engine cut out which I use as I'm still moving rather than the brakes (as I taxi to my parking position, the brakes can tip it on its nose!).
For trimming do you have a registered version of FSUIPC? with this you can use any button or switch to perfectly trim as an axis, The Spitfire doesn't need as much trimming as say a P-40 though.
Although the "realair" Spitfire is quite good there is a huge difference between flying a realair Spitfire and an A2A Spit!, The Spitfire from A2A deals with the difficulties that the real pilots had to deal with like keeping the engine cool, which is one of the reasons the Royal Air Force found it so difficult to find enough pilots during the Battle of Britain. You have to learn to fly an A2A Spitfire as you would have to in real life.
Welcome to our community, I hope you will enjoy learning to fly one of the greatest planes ever, I'm sure we will all give you all the support you need to fly it succesfully.

Happy flights
M. Jordan.
