Successfully down loaded the above but am unable to install them.

The message received is "Unable to locate flt sim x.

I have Flt Sim x steam addition installed.

I have tried to direct it to the relevant path but with no success.

I hope you can inform me of the next course of action to take.

I have tried to contact you via emails on the 4th/14th/July but received no replies.

Thanking you in anticipation of an early resolution.

Hi and welcome to this forum,

Make sure that your FSX steam is properly installed and you can fly with no issues one of the default FSX planes.
Take a look at this thread how to navigate the installer to the proper location:

Let us know how it goes

Cheerz,

Hello and welcome to the forums,

there is no email support as noted on our website so everything's done here via the forums. Sorry for the delay in getting to you here, it looks like you got marked as approved and read by mistake.

Which FSX are you running, if the installer isn't picking up your FSX install it sounds like you have some system registry errors with the sim so the system itself doesn't think its installed. This can sometimes happen to FSX users or it could be because you went from using disc edition without running the full uninstall procedure and manual deletion before installing the steam edition.

thanks,
Lewis

Thank you for your prompt reply to my troubles.

Unfortunately the suggestions made did not solve the problem.

I carried out your instructions to the letter. i.e entered the pathway C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\FSX.

The same message "unable to locate FSX" select pathway to installed location.

I then thought of un-installing the downloads and re-installing them." Same result"

Thinking the problem might be with my FSX installation I downloaded from another sight i.e.Just Flight.

No problems. I,v down loaded 3 different packages and all installed and run perfectly.

So, I am hoping you can come up with further actions I can take.

Yours Hopefully

Tony

Hello Tony,

re-downloading wouldn't fix anything as the issue is with your FSX. Try the registry repair here, and then restart your system and re-run the installer.

thanks,
Lewis
