Damage not persistent

Post by chadryan »

I had a rough landing in the cub yesterday that involved destroying the prop. Today I loaded up my sim and expected to see the prop still broken, but it wasn't. When I hit Shift+7 it said the engine condition was Poor, but it's running fine. Should the damage have been persistent?

The damage is persistent, as seen with the condition being poor after a restart. However, the prop condition may be an exception, as I think this was a brand new feature and we didn't carry that over.

So, after a hard landing how do we reset the plane's damage?? (Unistalling/reinstalling the Steam add-on for Piper J3 did not work!)

I have been searching this topic for DAYS and this is the first lead I have found....

Hello,

to reset the aircraft just use the maintenance hanger. Full details in the manual.

thanks,

I finally found the "overhaul" button in the "maintenance hangar" (Shift-7). I figured this out after reading the above thread several times.

When I purchased this mod on Steam, I received no manual. I've also looked through the FSX directories and I couldn't find a manual there either. I don't necessarily need a manual, but for a $40 purchase I expected more of a well-rounded product.

Don't get me wrong, I have fallen in LOVE with the Piper Cub! 9/10
