Piper A2A for P3D2.5

Post by BrianV »

Apologies if I ask a question that may already have been answered but will the Piper Cub with Accusim be updated for use with P3D2.5?

We've actually discussed making a P3D version of the J3, as it has good training qualities. We're pretty deep in development atm, but this may be something that comes out in the not too distant future.

Add my name to list, I'd purchase so I could do the Air Alaska missions -- I love Alaska!

Cheers, Rob.

Yes it's fantastic that TakeFlight Interactive is supporting P3D with their Air Alaska missions. We now need the A2A Piper Cub to make the most of the amazing experience. :D

Which are the differencies between a plane developped for FSX and the one developped for P3d? I copied and paste my J3 from FSX to P3d, as there is no dedicated version, and she fly perfectly.

Would it be possible to get confirmation from A2A that while people have installed the cub in P3D and "got it working" it's not actually intended to be used in P3D? Is it fair to assume that the behaviour of the cub in P3D will depart from A2A intentions as implemented in the FSX version? Is there any update on when a P3D version of the cub might be available please?

Correct David the Cub was designed and produced well before P3D V2, so although it works it is still a port and as changes between the platforms grow its usability in the P3D Platform cannot be guaranteed.

thanks,

Just for info, I have the Cub in P3Dv2.5, installed using the Estonia Migration Tool. Works like a charm, no problems at all.

Scott any update on moving the Cub to p3d v3?

"This is part of the experience of the j3, however, we're going to soon announcing a cool little product that may address this and many more requests."

Was this released? If so, what was it? If not, is it still in process?

Thanks
Terry

Hello,

its been discussed but no solid plans in place, its harder now also that v3 is out and has moved the compatibility goal posts further apart.
