no preflight for the piper cub?

Post by cessna lover »

hey guys. I got an early Christmas present and that was the piper cub. got the little guy last night. but there is no preflight or check list with it? have not got the chance to read the manuals yet. but did get the chance for a circuit in the pattern with it and the interactive passenger though boy was that ever funny. any way I am new to this plane. I am hoping it has a manual.

Yes it is under your start menu/A2A/piperj3cub

There is an accusim manual and a cub manual.

They are essential reading.

There is no preflight function for the cub. You can check oil and fuel and set the load, but you can not do a walk around.

This feature is available for the Cherokee, Skyhawk and Skylane.

Checklists are as noted.

yes the Cessna's have them but the B-17 and the cub do not. I got to do a flight with the cub last night when I got it. but I am on the back side of a 10 day flu and it's still kind of hard to fly  I did find the manuals for the cub. I should read the ones for the B-17 and the 172 again as well. I also noticed with the new update that after flying the Cessna you can hear like a faint popping is that the plane cooling off?

Sorry to hear that, feel better soon.

The ticking sounds are the sounds of a hot metal engine cooling off. :)

:D thanks as far as the flu goes I am on the back side of it. and that's really neat to actually hear the engine cooling. I have also started studying the b-17 cockpit again. I know where the lights and the inverter and battery's are now. but as far as flying it I have not tried yet cause of the taxi issue. but this little cub is a dream to fly even with nervous nelly in the cockpit. sorry I keep bringing up the b-17 and other planes I will try to stick to the original topic

The A2A Cub flies very nicely. It's a shame that Heidi dislikes 3 point landings. It's my current substitute for low and very slow flying in a Super Cub.

 I have not got a 3 pointer yet but I did get a very nice main wheel landing. :D

Just keep practicing and soon you'll be comfortable enough to attempt some backwoods landings
