Piper Cub Sim Connect Error

Post by IanHenry »

Hi,
Every time that I start a flight in the A2A Piper Cub (with Accusim) I get a Sim Connect error, telling me to restart FSX. I have tried loading the flight with another aircraft, then switching to the Cub, but the same thing happens. This problem does not effect any other aircraft, including other A2A ones. I have uninstalled the Cub, and re installed it and I have even performed a complete re format and installation of Windows 7 (64 bit), but still the problem persists. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Ian.

Many thanks for your reply Lewis. No not yet (presumably I do that using the FSX & Acceleration disks). As I mentioned this is not a new problem and I have done a complete re install of Windows 7, FSX and Acceleration. I will have a try at re installing Sim Connect and see how I get on.

Regards,
Ian.

Thanks Lewis, that seems to have sorted that problem out, but non of the Accusim sounds seem to be working, even Heidi's silent, do you think this is a related problem?

Regards,
Ian.

Hello Ian,

Whats your default sound device for the system. Is it different to what FSX outputs through? By default the Accu-sim sound engine will output through the windows default sound device.

Is this a new system, does it have a separate sound card or on board? Are the drivers up tot date?

thanks,
Lewis

Thanks Lewis, the default Windows sound device was not set as my SoundBlaster sound card, re set it and now everything's Peachy!
Many thanks for you assistance, it's been the best backup service that I've come across!

Again, many thanks,
Ian.
