J-3 Cub Software acting crazy!

I have just installed SHO-205.exe, SHO-210.exe and V 1.1 Update.exe plus Accusim in FSX on a Win7 Desktop and on a Win8 Laptop and get the weirdest results.
When I open FSX and select aircraft A2A J-3 Cub and Fly Now, the image that opens just shows the pilot and his passenger suspended in space with a faint image of the plane's glass. When I maneuver the plane to taxi or take off, the subjects respond as if they are sitting in the plane but the plane's body is not visible.
The software acts the same in both PCs.
I see no reference to anyone else in the Forum having this adventure, so it must be something I'm doing. I'm a newbie in this forum.
Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Hello,

Welcome to the forums. This sounds like the old FSX not being updated issue. Update your FSX to Service Pack 2 or Acceleration standard and all will work ok
