Hi all
I have a small issue with the Cub. I have consistent stutters when landing on some unpaved runways. This is particularly evident on some Orbx strips, such as Sutton's and Bear Gulch.
Each bump is a stutter, it seems something related to the bump sound.
I'm actually running FSX+Acceleration on iMac 21,5"+BootCamp - Win7 64 - Intel Core i5 Quad Core 2,7GHz - RAM 4GB 1333 MHZ DDR3 - AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB GDDR5.
The Cub is Accusim and has all the updates and hotfixes.
Thanks in advance for any help you may give.

Do you happen to have a Creative Labs sound card?

Re: Stutters on unpaved runways
Rosario,
This is a hard one. If you look at our FAQ, there is no mention of this issue, so there is something quite unique going on. I can't think of any cause of stuttering except something along the lines of virus protection or some odd driver conflict.
Here is a utility that can sometimes help us find an issue like this. Download and run this.
http://a2asimulations.com/public/online ... Dr_A2A.exe
A little black window will appear with a blinking cursor. This will take about 60 seconds or more to complete. Once this is done, you will have a "Dr_A2A_Report" file next to the Dr_A2A.exe program. Email this to doctor[at]a2asimulations.com.
Just post back here once that email is sent.
Scott.

Re: Stutters on unpaved runways
Does this happen with different planes?
I recall similar issue (bad stutters on sand/unpaved surfaces). If was due to non-standard 'dust effect'.

Re: Stutters on unpaved runways
I've just noticed that with Accusim off, the issue is gone. No stutters at all.

Rosario,
Are you sure you are not seeing ground bumps? They can be quite jarring when off the runway.

Re: Stutters on unpaved runways
Hi Scott,
What I see is a consistent fluctuation in FPS on unpaved runways. With Accusim off, everything is smooth.
As a note, if the workaround is to simply turn Accusim off while on ground, then turn it on when flying, that's no big deal. The product is still very enjoyable.

Re: Stutters on unpaved runways
I can confirm this issue. I recently made some tweaks on my FSX: buffer pools, fps limiter with the result that FSX never ran better before. My fps are now constantly reaching the limit of 30 (set by a combination of fsx internal limiter and Nvidia-inspector). Blurries and stutters are almost gone now. I write this, because now I can sense any slight deviation in fsx performance more than before. My last flights started from some unpaved air strips in Alaska, so there was no demanding scenery or heavy ai traffic. The standard tyre Cub lets fps jump up and down like some rhythmic stuttering. Accu-feel is off in A2A planes. I am sure this issue has been there before, but now it appears to be much more pronounced in an otherwise fluid running fsx.

Re: Stutters on unpaved runways
I think this is just the ground bumps guys. Remember the FPS of the animations in FSX and games in general itself can be below 30FPS

Re: Stutters on unpaved runways
I just wanted to say that I also have this "issue". I've had the cub installed on a wide multitude of PC's since I purchased it and different FSX installations and this stuttering has always been there. I haven't mentioned it before because I didn't think of it too much but it's annoying and very pronounced so you never fail to notice it. I think it's even worse with tundra wheels on.
