Hi there!

I'm flying the Piper Cub for a long time and it's installed on my system for several months. But now I'm unable to choose this wonderful aircraft. It always ends with a CTD. If I choose the plane in the aircraft menu, it will be displayed in the preview window for 1 or 2 seconds an then FSX will crash. When I load a standard situation with the Cessna (FSX) and choose the Piper Cub at the airport, FSX will crash too.

I did a complete deinstallation with a fresh new installation of all parts (Piper Cub, Accu Sim Pack and Update to V1.1), but this doesn't fix the problem. I didn't change any parts of my hardware.

But I installed the Flight1 soundstream a few weeks ago and I don't know if I've flown the Piper Cub after that with no problems. Maybe it's the first try to fly Piper Cub after that installation. I can't remember.

Do you think it's a sound problem or can I test something else to get this lovely plane back in the air?

If everything worked before, and doesn't now, it does tend to make me think there is some kind of error or conflict. Did you try uninstalling that soundstream program and see if this allows the cub to come back up?

Hi Scott,

Sometimes it is helpful to think about loud (or post in a board). Uninstalling Flight1s Soundstream was the right way to solve that problem. After deleting this tool everything is ok again!

Seems, we have the Cub in the Club here!

I have the same problem with the B17 and the Digital Aviation DO-27.

Unfortunately there is no solution for the B17, BUT:

you can disable Soundstream via the menu and restart FSX and then load the B17.
(then you can enable it)
So, no need to uninstall this nice tool!
Maybe this works for the Cub also ...


For the DO27 I have found 4 soundfiles which where causing the issue.
I have just resaved them with Audacity to solve it (don't know why)
Unfortunately this does not work with the B17.
There you have to disable "A2A_B17Sound.dll" - but that is of course no solution ...
