Proper pilot response is counter intuitive to what you might think. If you respond as if it was a wing stall on final...well, it wouldn't be pretty.

A great video indeed!

People don't seem to realize or appreciate that the tail is an inverted wing. They don't view it as an aerodynamic surface like the wing.

This one should be hammered into pilots the same as stall awareness.

That was a great video.
And ya it always surprises me when people don't realize that the horizontal stabilizer produces negative lift.

:roll: Seen this one many times especially when I was flying Twin Otters. A real eye opener especially after we turned the plane into a popsicle one dark and stormy night going into Red Lake. It tokk hours the next morning to thaw out the plane before departure. :wink:

:o Nothing beats few nights at the Polar Bear in Moosonee! Or overnighting in Peawanuck or Slate Falls! 8) But you are right the Winston in Pickle is not a 5 star :mrgreen:
