There is no electrical system in a J-3, so it would be impossible to run such a unit for long on just a battery. It would not be realistic. As far as being able to do it in the sim, I don't know, but adding in this type of tech goes against what makes this plane so special.

Edit the Cub's aircraft.cfg file and locate the [electrical] section and edit it to to look like this:

[electrical]
max_battery_voltage = 24
electric_always_available=1
generator_alternator_voltage = 0

It just means changing the max battery voltage from 0 to 24 and adding the electric always available entry.

I added the GTN 650 and pretend it it a handheld GPS.
