Hi afcraig2010,

In my opinion, they might be able to execute a take off, since from the video it is obvious that they did no use the entire pond length to land. The pond looks more of a small channel. There is however another problem - obstacle clearance and will they be able to gain enough altitude after the takeoff roll.

Man that was a tight squeeze. But I would have been more worried about getting the wind tip stuck in the woods than about the pond being to short :shock:

According to the video description they were going to get the plane out of the water for the winter and fit wheels.
