I wonder if they can take off, or if they have to put it on a truck and go somewhere.

Hi afcraig2010,

In my opinion, they might be able to execute a take off, since from the video it is obvious that they did no use the entire pond length to land. The pond looks more of a small channel. There is however another problem - obstacle clearance and will they be able to gain enough altitude after the takeoff roll.

Man that was a tight squeeze. But I would have been more worried about getting the wind tip stuck in the woods than about the pond being to short

According to the video description they were going to get the plane out of the water for the winter and fit wheels.
