Another great cub outing Alan, I esp like the look with the tundra tires, I think it suits the livery purpose better, but thats just assumption as we dont have such things here in grey overcast little England lol

Thank You Lewis. This paint is real but just not on a Cub, at least I haven't seen a real cub painted this way yet. If you remember, I also painted the 172 in this scheme. It just makes an all around good paint scheme on a lot of aircraft and the cub could do this job if they had one (Fire Scouts) who fly around looking for smoke and fires.... once they spot the smoke and fire then hopefully the smoke jumpers can get to it before it spreads too far or gets out of hand.

Thanks Chunk! Glad you like it. Have fun with it. Maybe I'll include one for the ski version too but first I have to get that carbon prop finished up.

Thanks Lewis. Yes actually one nice place is the free airport by orbx 2S1 which is the same airport as where the screenshot were taken.

2S1 Vashon Island Airport: It's the first one on the *Freeware Orbx NA Scenery* listings...https://fullterrain.com/freeware also 7WA3 West Wind Airport is nice too.
Use the Google Drive option to download as it's the fastest I've found for downloading their stuff.

Also after installing any of their airports be sure to reinstall the latest LIBS files too. (https://fullterrain.com/support#orbxlibs)

Do those NA freeware require NA Orbx stuff as the only regions I have are England, Wales etc. For the rest I just use Global atm.

thanks,

Those airports are made to work within the ORBX regions. There are freeware airports and packs for global as well, but Vashon Island and West Wind won't look right without ORBX PNW.

But to answer your question Lewis. No they don't require the PNW region. They're sure fun to fly in and out of.

Chunk... Mine doesn't matter if I have the regions in or not. These airports look the same no matter if I'm using Orbx global by itself or if I have a region installed with orbx. They work fine without any regions installed.

All I have installed is orbxglobal and this airport along with the free addon pack. I have no problem with the scenery and I still have everything showing up as well.

Also one thing to keep in mind. If you have a region installed and orbx with it then you want to have the Hybrid mode checked. Hybrid is only there to ease the transition from global to global with a region installed so that the terrain has a nice transition between the two.

In my case I don't have Hybrid selected because I currently don't have any regions installed so I don't have to worry about it. However if I selected the hybrid mode without any regions installed then I get a disruption in the terrain and get a slight noticeable elevation border problem.

I'm sure they'll work, I was talking more about he scenery around the airports meshing 100%. I'm glad they work in global as well! :)
