hi all, when flying at night or dusk ... a can temporarily turn off the cabin light with l key or shift l ... but after a few seconds it pops itself back on ??? a swirly type icon appears on the screen for a second or two as it does so
is it possible to have full control (keep it off then turn back on)?
any advice much appreciated
regards
cabin light
Re: cabin light
There is no electrical system in a Cub so I'm not sure what lighting you speak of.

Re: cabin light
thanks,
I think it is a mock light - maybe pilot has a flashlight ... but in dark an auto glow comes on just enough to read the dash dials ... hitting the l key tries to toggle it, but only for a few seconds
must be an fsx stock command trying to work on the a2a cub?

Yes, as you say JBaran I think it's a kind of "mock light" or ambient glow to provide a little bit of visibility in the cockpit, even in complete darkness. I'm not sure if you could make it switchable, but you could disable the effect by 'commenting out' the following line in the aircraft.cfg file with some "//" entries so that it looks like this:
Cheers,
Nick

Hello,
yes its a bit of artistic license to help in low light conditions when pilots might otherwise be using a little torch or head lamp.
thanks,
Lewis
