I need a J3 painter's input.

Post by Alky »

There seems to be some kind of plate right where I need to have my nose art just on one side of the plane. Is there anything I can do to fix that or is it hard wired into the model?
Thanx :)

I do not have the cub but from experience this part is somewhere in the texture file.

Is the part black on the fuselage texture? Reason I am asking is that the door hinges are black on the 182. What I do is select that part on the paint and the paste it on a different layer over the hinge. In the 182 the texture is much bigger. Just transform it till it fits over the part. That did the trick for me on the 182.

Hope this helps.

It's the Piper badge. Create another layer above the 'detail' layer and paint the missing parts on it. It's situated next to the wooden floor section. I think you'll have quite a job on! I'll look forward to how you get on. :)

Well I really appreciate the input guys, the culprit was indeed the piper badge. I gave it a try but I see this needs more patience & skill than I have.
Thank you for your input. :)

Keep at it! Skew, distort, resize, rotate. Do what is necessary, you're almost there and when you are you'll say 'Yesssss!' And we'll say 'Hurrah!' :D
