I just installed the J3 software today and the manual says to use (Shift-3) for Controls, (Shift-4) for Payload Manager, etc. etc. The only one that works is Pilot's Map (Shift-5). I can get Heidi ni the plane by adding a passenger at start up, but I can't get to the pop-up screen as shown in the manual. The other Shift numbers do nothing. Help!

I'm sorry I can't be much help here. I haven't run into the problem. Have you tried doulble checking the FSX realism settings? Perhaps a reinstall? Have you uploaded any updates that are on the website?

Hopefully one of those tips might help. Good luck!

I have just purchased this wonderful package, and am amazed and delighted by the detail. It really is one of the best simulations out there, with a level of detail I've not seen on anything else. Bravo to the small team that made this!

I'm hesitant to complain at all about such a labor of love three years on past its development, but I'm having the exact same shift-3 no-show issue (shift-4 displays the map).

Have gone thru all the installs properly, updates, settings checks, etc.

Using an ancient (by computer standards) Core2 Duo system with 2GB (!) of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 9800 card, with latest (310, and perhaps these are the problem?) drivers. I built this computer from scratch back in 2006 and have had FSX running on it (on XPSP3) with SP1 and SP2 installed for years. Am very familiar with which tweaks do what on my system.

Just saying that to save any responders time.

I'm willing to uninstall and reinstall FSX if need be to get everything running, but will have to wait until the end of my week off as I put my FSX disk deep in storage when we moved :(. Have another disk on the way.

I also apparently don't have propeller animations, even though those show up on the stock FSX prop planes with them.

Am not running any other add-ons with FSX.

If you have any suggestions, it would make my day and week; thank you.

I would check your SP2 install and your simconnect install. A reinstall of Servie Pack 2 for FSX will normally cure the issue.

thanks and Merry Christmas,
Lewis
