I was lucky to find a very nice book about a dentist who started an extendend solo flight with his float plane Cub (a 1947 build and converted J3 with 90 hp Continental) through Alaska and British Columbia.

The book is called "True North" by George Erickson. It was quite cheap at Amazon.de

I got it today and I am already enjoying it, it is really well written.

Thanks for the heads up, I love everything about the Cub, I'm grounded now but I flew one for years;

Just read the sample and it's a fantastically written thing. I'll plop this into my amazon wish list and you can be sure this book will grace my home soon.

That's two for two when it comes to book recommendations on this forum. First Light and now this ^_^
