This sticky thread is intended to be a growing repository for information on available repaints for the A2A Piper J-3 Cub. This should hopefully make it easier to find information on what repaints are available and where they are located.
Cub painters can simply add to this thread as they complete repaints, including a screenshot (or several ) of their paint scheme(s) with information on, and if possible links to, the location where the repaint files can be obtained.
Hopefully Cub users will then have a 'one stop shop' where they can peruse all the available Cub repaints and find the respective downloads with ease.
Please post repaint requests on the main Cub forum (in a new thread if required) so that this thread can be used for completed and available repaints only.

During WWII, the Luftwaffe captured a few J3 Cubs...and painted the iron cross and swastika on them. You may want to try creating one of those, as well?

That would be a bit problematic, esp. the Swastika.
Re: A2A Piper J-3 Cub Repaint Repository + Paintkit
Here's mine. This military livery is based on the real world L-4 aircraft G-BWEZ.
For now you can get it here. I'm gonna upload it to the usual suspects later on.

Jigsaw I've looked at the psd files in the paintkit and at your files and I still can't tell for sure (I don't actually have the aircraft yet ) - is the panel and floor interchangeable with the other Cubs or are they part of the bigger cabin area?
As well as your excellent Olive green paint I would love to see your panel and floor (and engine) on the yellow Cub for example.

OK PM me and let me know your technique for tying in the black stripes on the tail section. They are perfectly matched.jcblom wrote:OK, here goes:

I could also make variations for the blue and grey cockpits, if there's interest.
The floor and panel are part of two texture tiles that include the textures for the whole (olive) cockpit, but...6297j wrote:Jigsaw I've looked at the psd files in the paintkit and at your files and I still can't tell for sure (I don't actually have the aircraft yet ) - is the panel and floor interchangeable with the other Cubs or are they part of the bigger cabin area?
... I made a little package for the yellow version of the Cub that includes the footprints, the dirty engine and the little scratches/dirt in the cockpit. Just copy the three files to the "texture.yellow" folders of each Cub variation. The dirty engine can be used with every version, because it doesn't include any livery colours.I would love to see your panel and floor (and engine) on the yellow Cub for example.
