Hiya mate,

welcome :)

My suggestion: make sure you have plenty of time :)
J/k.
For navigation, you can use plan-g v2. It's a VFR flight planning software, that also has plane-tracking. You can plan things, and use it as google maps. Look it up at google :) It's a great program.
However, if you are serious about navigation, you can always use an E-6B flight navigation computer.

Regards

Hi mori

I'm planning on flying the upcomming Accusim Spitfire from London to Cape Town, following Alex Henshaws 1939 route down the west coast.
Just finished a second reading of his "Flight of the Mew Gull" and "Sigh for a Merlin". Awesome books.
At least 40 hours I should think. Bit faster than the Cub thankfully, I admire your patience :D
The eastern route does look more interesting though, with the Pyramids and Nile, Kilimanjaro etc. Maybe I'll come home that way.
Are you taking Heidi, or kicking her out to save weight??

Couple of links that might be helpful.
Let us know how you get on and post some screenies :D
Cheers and good luck!

Hi, i been wanting to make a trip in the P-47 or the B-17 like this, once I took a Pacific tour departing from LA to mexico, Guatemala, Galapagos Island and then to Eastern Island, just using a VFR chart and a E6B. I also want to take a flight to Africa, but I dont like the default scenery there, do you know of any scenery out there I can download?

THanks!
