It finished downloading. Firstly. 40 minutes for the Cub. Then 30 minutes for the Accu-Sim addon. While waiting for Accu-Sim to download, I installed and did a flight. I was impressed with its looks and handling. Beautiful!

Then I installed the Accu-Sim after it finished downloading. I've been flying it ever since then. What a huge and wonderful difference it makes. This is going to be my favourite addon for FSX until you bring out something even better (if that's at all possible).

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It was well worth the wait and the price was unbelievably low. Give yourselves a pat on the back. You have well and truly earned it! :)

Oh well. I'm off to fly her some more!

Hello, just visiting from the BoBII forum to say that those are some of the loveliest screenshots of a flight sim plane I have ever seen! I love the details in the low angle of the third shot! :D

My apologies in advance, if I shouldn't post these here. This is a J3 screenshot thread but there appear to be nothing but official screens here. So I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes by posting these here, too. If I am, please remove them. That being said...

I got a chance to spend some quality time in the J3 Float this morning off Oahu:

Cutting across Kaena Point on the island's northwest corner:

Image

Lands end: Kaena Point itself:

Image

Following Farrington Highway down the western shore:

Image

With the shoreline below me, the ridgeline to Makua Keaau Forest Reserve towers above me:

Image

The Makaha Valley stretching into the mountains to the east with Makaha Beach directly below. That point of land roughly on a level with my pontoons jutting into the Pacific on the right holds the Maunalahilahi Botanical Gardens:
Image

Over Makaha:

Over the water off Oahu's long eastern shore:

Image

Kuala Regional Park occupies the point of land behind my pontoons. Pearl Harbor lies beyond the long ridgeline to my right:

Image

Kahalulu and He'eia State Park share the coastline below me:

Image

Forward slipping to lose both altitude and airspeed quickly for the landing. Although my nose is pointing frame right, my line of flight is slightly toward frame left:

Image

It's easy to identify a slip. Notice the crossed control surfaces:

Image

Still slipping in:

Image

Straightened out just before touchdown:

Safely down:

I love the bobbing effect you get in the J3 Float:

Engine shutdown:

Hope I haven't overdone it with these screens but I find the J3 to be a thoroughly enjoyable and exciting aircraft to fly. I love its responsiveness in spins, slips, and turns and the true sense of flight it provides. It's very easy to suspend disbelief and start thinking that you're in the real deal. :) My hat's off to the folks at A2A.
