Stars and Stripes Cub Screenshots (Large - 1680X1050)

Post by Scott - A2A »

We're finishing up the first draft of the manuals and have a bunch of in-game shots. There are a lot, but here is a batch from our Stars and Stripes float variant.

We should get the Accu-Sim manual posted in the next 24 hours. Notice the passenger in these shots. She is aware of her surroundings, is intelligent, and even spots and calls out traffic for you. More details of what is in Accu-Sim will be in the manual.

I posted these large shots to better show what this aircraft looks like in the sim.

Scott, that's so awesome! That front passanger feature makes it so much more realistic...man...good job.

I noticed she was holding on to one of the fuselage tubes...nice touch. I did that on my first Cub ride when a farmer took me up and he would slap my hand with a sectional chart and tell me not to do that. Apparently he had to keep a close eye on his oil temperature gauge and my arm was blocking it.

Thanks for sharing those great pics Scott.
Now I'm really hoping the release is not very far off. The wait is killing me too! :D
When do we get to see the pics of this new feature that's included?

Mark,
I think the new feature was the front seat passenger. Very cool!

Yeah. That is really cool but it just wasn't what I was expecting. At first it didn't seem too special because I somehow managed to miss: "She is aware of her surroundings, is intelligent, and even spots and calls out traffic for you." in Scotts post. After all it was 4am here when I saw this post. And to think I was just heading off to bed.

I'm still drooling over this plane.

Well doesn't that look flipping fantastic.

I'm really looking forward to testing the situational awareness of the passenger and seeing just how far I can push her before she jumps.

Will she cry out phrases such as "Oh God no, not again, didn't you see how close we were to (enter your own obstacles here)?"

Wow! Very cool stuff. It also answers my question if there would be other liveries than the standard yellow/black bolt one. :)

Those extra polys you saved by doing a simpler plane were just burning a hole in your pocket, weren't they? :D

Very interesting new feature! Will you release a vid or some VC shots soon?

Or a female pilot and a rear passenger???
Isn't the Cub often flown from the front seat when you have 2 people on board (to have a better view of the instruments)?
