Guess the new feature!

Post by Li'lJugs »

We are making a last minute visual change, so bear with us. Also, we have something in this Cub that is completely new and unannounced, and it is now complete. While the Cub is beautifully modeled and looks so in game, I just cannot stress enough how the looks just cannot capture this new feature. Once we get these final visuals complete, i will post some screens. Sorry for the delay.

Scott.

So, while we are waiting, hey?

One guess per person, OK?

I guess that it is a visual of a "person" flipping the prop to start.

Since it's a low & slow flyer, how about bug splatter on the windshield over time while in virtual cockpit. :)

That's a good guess, Jugs!

This is a fun question...lets see....

Notice Scott said "we have something IN THIS CUB" that is completely new. So, it has to be "inside"? This is hard because there's not much that can be put inside, lol. Is it some kind of mod? A wing tank?

On the other hand, adding someone sitting in the front seat enhances the overall realism, imho. So, my guess is that Scott put a passenger in the front seat to obstruct your forward vision during landings, etc.

Hmmm... "completely new," and "looks" won't do it justice. I'm guessing it's a new kind of animation - maybe a wind effect, as in, when you open the door in flight, things that aren't secured (maps and such) blow around. Just a little bit more of an immersion factor.

I think it will be a failure mode or damage model or similar...

LOL i think we may be overestimating the item. It's probably something much simpler, either way, can't wait for it.

I can think of a few things it might be, but I don't really care. A2A Simulations has proven that whatever it is, it will be great and that is all that matters. :)

I would just sit and twiddle my thumbs while I waited. But, unfortunately, that is impossible for me to do. So I'll just keep flying around in FSX while I anxiously await the release of this little beauty. My credit card is patiently waiting to be used.

i really really hope it has something to do with weapons.(i hope that none of you guys is a shrink)the bazooka idea someone mentioned sounds good, although there might be some guns, bombs or ICBMs fitted under the wings.

I'll go for the casevac version with the "lift up" rear cockpit canopy so that you can slide a patient in.

...and numbers of guesses aside, there's always the Cub-Crafters "Carbon Cub" versions - they look really cool inside and I like the idea of a "Propeller flipper" too

Hmmm...
.... their dog sitting on the front seat, bouncing up and down with excitment?
.... doors/windows that flap in the wind when they are unlocked?
.... old gauges that get stuck so you have to tap them from time to time to get the needle moving?

That last one is an awesome idea :) Seems to me that it's just right up A2A's alley :D
