Best Place to Acquire Textures

Post by DocLotus »

Hi;

I was just wondering where people are going for textures and paint schemes for A2A aircraft?

I usually visit FlightSim.com on a daily basis; they seem to have a lot of paint schemes for A2A but are listed under various searches as ShockWave and A2A.

Is there ONE location that has all of them listed in some meaningful order?

Thanks;
Doc

Thanks, Norforce.

Looks like that site may be going out of business for good at the end of December. Either way they seem to have much fewer A2A skins that FightSim.com.

It seems to me that it would be to A2A's advantage for them to keep copies of all ShockWave/A2A aircraft skins in one location filed in a logical order and kept up to date. One of the problems with the FlightSim.com
listings is there are often updates for a certain skin and it is sometimes unclear if the skin listed is the latest one or not.

Thanks;

Trev... VERY nice site; well laid out and easy to find repaints for all aircraft.

I have bookmarked them as one of my FSX favorites.

This is the kind of database that I wish A2A would implement.

There are a variety of ways you can create textures. For simplicity, let's say there are two main ways to make textures. Brush or with a program like Adobe Photoshop or you can start with an image.

if you're still looking for repaints, I also have a ridiculous amount of paints on both sim-outhouse (search the archive for 'jankees') and avsim (search for 'Jan Kees Blom').
I may have done well over a 100 paints for the P-51...
FS painter. You'll find most of my FS9/FSX/P3D paints here.
