Gear extension speed changed

Have run into a strange problem. I've been flying the P-51 since it came out. I always drop the gear at about 170mph and it extends with no problem. Recently I purchased another a/c - the VRS Superbug. Installed and flew same without problems.

However, when I again flew the P-51 - I press the gear button at 170mph as before BUT the gear will not extend until the airspeed has dropped to 145mph. The folks at VRS have no clue as to why this happens and no way to 'fix' it. Currently I'm stuck with the 145mph extension speed.

Any thoughts as to what is happening and how to "reset" the extension speed?

Try a re-install of the stang. If there is any conflict a reinstall of the stang should reset any changes. Although to be honest its no doubt just co-incidence as a conflict between two no related items is highly unlikely.

Interesting. The reinstall did not work. However, I renamed my FSX.CFG and rebuilt a new one and the problem went away. Copied back he old CFG file and the problem is back. Now to try to figure what setting in the cfg file is causing the problem. My guess is that some "trusted" gauge dll is being loaded that interferes.

ok, found the culprit -

Under REALISM - if I CHECK stress causes damage, the gear will not deploy uintil 145kts. If I UNCHECK this option, gear will deploy above that.
