Do you need for the Wings of Power (FS2004) or WoPII version?

I found a "Cripes A' Mighty 3rd" for you:
http://fsdownload.com/modules.php?name= ... e&sid=1872

I didn't confirm the download link actually works though. I also found the same file hosted at Flightsim.com, but you have to register to download from that site. This is all I found for the A2A WoPII P-51D, sorry. And actually, the scheme that should have been made for the A2A model is "Cripes A' Mighty 4th", Preddy's last plane and the P-51D that had the fin fillet. (The original "Cripes A' Mighty" was a P-47, and the second one was a P-51B.)

AVSIM and Simouthouse have a bunch of paints for the FSX patched version and non patched default WOPII model.

Search for authors, DaveQ and JanKee's to name but too great skinners.

It seems that AVSIM lost most of the repaints in there crash. I don't know if they can replace them. SOH doesn't have hardly any unless you have found another place for FSX skins than I have. not having much luck.... Lots of std fs2004 skins.

I just looked in this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=60&t=20642

Which redirected me to Jan Kees Blom repaints at Sim-Outhouse. I counted 16 WoPII/WWII Fighters P-51D repaints on the first page alone.

FWIW, I had some of the skins at the SOH link already installed (Chute; Imogene; Lucky Boy; G4-A "Nude") but I downloaded six more tonight, most of them from page 2. I didn't have any problems with:

E2-A Sky Bouncer;
357th FG Wee Willy II;
G4-O Sebastian Jr;
PE-J Geraldine II;
20th FG KI-S.

The 352nd FG "Kelly Kid/Rose Marie" Repost texture (on page 2) gave me a pitch black cockpit but I knew the solution: copy all the .dds files from the original "texture" folder that came with the A2A "Snooks" model and paste them into the "texture.kelly kid" folder. You'll also need to create a thumbnail for FSX, but you can just save the screenshot on the SOH webpage and rename it as "thumbnail.jpg" and put it in the "texture.kelly kid" folder. You'll probably run into this same problem with older repaints; I first encountered it with "Hey Rube" and "G4-A" among others.

Yes, I found all those also and downloaded some. Still looking for the Preddy P-47 texture.
I guess you have to search by who did the skin to find something. That site has always confused me
on how to search for something....

Thanks

I think your best bet would be to request that somebody paint Preddy's Thunderbolt for you. Photos:

I found a Preddy repaint for WoP III Thunderbolt by Cazzie at Sim-Outhouse. I hope this link works:
http://www.sim-outhouse.com/downloads/d ... leID=13634

If I find one for the Wingos of Power II / WWII Fighters version, I'll let you know.

I haven't figured that out, really. Here's how I got to the Preddy download: I first found a post in the WoP3 P-47 forum, in the paint kit and repaints sticky, by Cazzie, that had a dead link to the Preddy skin at Sim-Outhouse. Then when I went to Sim-Outhouse, I chose Cazzie from the contributors menu when I did my search. I didn't enter any other information (ie, "Preddy" or "FSX" or "P-47"). The result listed everything that Cazzie has uploaded, just like with the Jan Kees link.

The 'Cripes A'Mighty 3rd' texture set for the WOPII P-51D is on the SOH site http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/l ... linkid=361. Remember that this aircraft was an early Block-5 machine without the dorsal fin extension, though, by the end of its life it was field-modified. Thus, to that extent, the repaint is inaccurate. Also, since Avsim was hacked, most of my textures have been put on the Flightsim.com site. Hope you enjoy them.

Regards

DaveQ
