Hey there, all you nice fellows at A2A.
Thank you for your fantastic work and the real nice aircraft you're making.
After i purchased the Piper J3 Cub+AccuSim i instantly became a real AccuSim addict, like you state in the banners.I also purchased the P47D+ AccuSim and the Boeing 377+AccuSim.
A real maniac, i became...

But i sadly have to report, i too have issues with the P47D + AccuSim.
In another post i do not find to link it, there were simillar issues pointed out.

- P47D runs fantastic at 30fps in FSX with everything to max.
Take off and flight quite normal.
BUT in the moment i do an error like gaining to much speed, putting too much manifold pressure to the engine, etc, the system instantly drops to 1 fps, system goes to 100% load and one click on the FSX menu (to reload the P47D i.e.) gets me a frozen FSX i have to kick via Task manager.
To me it seems, anything in AccuSim causes a loop if a fatal failure accures and AccuSim wants to "calculate" it, normally causing FSX to end the flight due to crash.
It also happens on the ground while starting the engine and doing it wrong.

It is 100% related to the P47D+AccuSim, becuase i tested a lot and it only happens while flying the P47D.
The Piper runs just fine and the Stratocruiser hasen't seen too much flight time till now, because i own it two days now.

My system:
Core 2 Duo 3,5 GHz
4GB Ram
Win 7 RC (7100)
Driver all updated (even the sound and chipset drivers by ASUS)
GeForce GTX 285
FSX runs in DX9

Yes, reading your post i just double checked it and
Auto mixture is turned OFF
unlimited fuel is OFF
Damage is turned ON

crash detection is OFF

realism is all to the max.

Unfortunately, that is it for my guess. Someone with a bit more experience will have to chime in.

If I was to guess however, it seems to me one of two things is happening:
1) There is an error when certain effects are displayed
2) There is an error when certain sound effects are activated

My guess would be that #1 is the more likely cause, as the sound engine is fairly robust and plays sounds throughout the experience, however during certain actions, such as quick accelerations or during very high manifold pressures, it should and will activate certain effects. What is strange however is we use the basic effects system in FS, however graphically modified, which is standard for all aircraft in FS.

Anyways, not an answer, but it might point someone in the right direction.

Question: Does turning ON auto mixture also result in a CTD?

I will try this.

My two examples for this error are:
1. On ground, starting the engine, oil is cold and i started it with too many throttle set, so the engine crancked -> 5fps no buttons responding and clicking aircraft in the menu brought the SX to freeze
2. in the air, just started and got level flight. Turbo engaged, manifold preassure went through the roof, turned back throttle -> 1 fps, no buttons responding, FSX froze in menu.

I read the handling of the aircraft was false ( i appologize, Steve, i'm very sorry to damage your aircraft. :) ) but it resulted in this errors.
I didn't see this or similar behavior in the CUB or the Stratocruiser and in no other 3rd party plane (PMDG, Carenado, Real Air)

Would be nice to have this solved, cause it keeps me from flying this superb aircraft.

yes i did.
After the first freeze i reinstalled the P47D.
I installed it step by step and started the FSX after every part. then the update and quickfix also step by step with restarting the FSX and the Windows after every step.
